IN & OUT ART Logistics handled the artwork transportation and exhibition logistics for 《INNER ROOMS: Rooms Within》, held at The Heritage, Shinsegae Main Store.

《INNER ROOMS: Rooms Within》 is an exhibition that reinterprets the traditional sarangbang of the Joseon Dynasty from a contemporary perspective. Through the works of contemporary artists, the exhibition newly explores the meanings embodied by the sarangbang — hospitality, contemplation, learning, creation, relationships, and inner reflection.

The sarangbang was more than just a physical room. It was a place where people gathered, tastes and ideas were exchanged, and one’s inner world was refined. As this exhibition reimagines the meaning of this traditional space through a contemporary lens, delicate exhibition logistics were essential — not only to protect the material qualities of each artwork, but also to preserve the overall flow and atmosphere of the exhibition space.

For this project, IN & OUT ART carefully managed the entire process, from artwork pickup, packing, and transportation to delivery into the exhibition venue and on-site route coordination. As the exhibition brings together traditional objects and contemporary artistic expressions, we closely reviewed the material, structure, and handling requirements of each artwork and established a transportation plan suited to the layout and access conditions of The Heritage.

The exhibition includes works that reinterpret traditional objects such as gobi, gat, and chaekgado using diverse materials including aluminum, leather, hemp fabric, and hanji paper. Because each artwork had different material properties and structural characteristics, professional handling was required throughout the logistics process. IN & OUT ART provided artwork-specific packing, transportation, and on-site delivery management to minimize the risk of damage and support the overall quality of the exhibition installation.

In addition, 《INNER ROOMS》 is the first exhibition at Shinsegae The Heritage to be presented across both the 4th and 5th floors, making floor-by-floor delivery routes, artwork placement flow, installation schedules, and communication among on-site teams especially important. IN & OUT ART systematically managed the logistics process to ensure that the artworks arrived safely and on schedule, supporting a stable and well-coordinated exhibition preparation process.

This project demonstrates IN & OUT ART’s professional experience in fine art transportation and on-site exhibition logistics, contributing to the completion of a space where tradition and contemporaneity come together.
